Well Water Fixes publishes general guidance about private well water. It is not professional advice about your specific well, and it cannot be — we have not seen your water, your equipment or your property.
The calculators produce planning estimates from the figures you enter. They assume those figures are accurate and typical, and real installations vary with plumbing, water chemistry, flow rates and local code. Confirm anything important with a certified laboratory test and a licensed professional before spending money.
Health limits
Where this site cites EPA drinking water standards, those citations are to published federal standards for public water systems. Private wells are not covered by them. We reference them because they are the appropriate benchmark, not because they are legally binding on you.
Health & safety
Nothing here is medical advice. If your water tests positive for coliform bacteria, or shows nitrate above 10 mg/L or arsenic above 0.010 mg/L, contact your county or state health department. Do not rely on a website — including this one — to decide whether water is safe to drink.
