About Well Water Fixes

What this is

Well Water Fixes is an independent guide to private well water — what is in it, what that means, and what equipment genuinely fixes it. It exists because almost everything published on the subject is written by someone selling treatment systems.

That is not an accusation of dishonesty. Manufacturer and dealer content is often technically accurate. But it is structurally incapable of telling you that you do not need anything, that the cheaper option is fine, or that the problem is your water heater rather than your well.

What we are not

We do not sell, install or service water treatment equipment. We do not collect your details and pass them to contractors — there is no form on this site that results in anyone phoning you. We have no dealer relationships and no territory.

Where we earn anything it is through affiliate links, which are disclosed and which never change what a page recommends.

How we decide what to publish

Pages get built where people are actually asking questions, established by harvesting real search queries rather than guessing. That is also how the structure of each page is decided — the sections exist because those are the questions being asked.

Health limits are cited from published EPA standards rather than asserted, and the distinction between health-based primary standards and aesthetic secondary standards is kept explicit, because conflating them is how alarm gets sold.
